The Turnbull Cup champions led 1-0 and 2-1 at the period breaks.

“I liked some of our adjustments we made offensively with the large Olympic ice surface,” texted Winkler head coach Justin Falk from Oakville. “As we continue to go about the tournament, we will work towards fine tuning our 200-foot game on both sides of the puck.”

Owen Riffel and Trevor Sanderson replied for the Bombers.

Sioux Lookout goaltender Jack Osmond faced 48 shots.

The Flyers next game is Saturday at 11 a.m. against the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champion Melfort Mustangs.
