Some U-pick berry farms are suffering from too much rain this year, while others seem to be thriving. Mary Sawatsky, owner of Mary's Strawberry U-pick near Lowe Farm, says the rain and cool temperatures have slowed things down on her farm. She says, however, sunny warm weather could change that situation quickly.

Some U-pick operators say the heavy rains have cost them thousands of pounds of berries. Sawatsky says so far her berries have held up against the 4 or 5 inches of rain that has fallen in the area over the past few weeks.
