A councilor with the Rural Municipality of Morris has resigned his seat over a dispute regarding the sale of a lot in the community of Aubigny.
Denis Robert, a twelve year veteran of council, says the 7.3 acre river lot was sold too cheaply at $10,500. Robert contends the sale should have been subject to a house being built on the property.

Robert is not ruling out running again in the fall municipal election.
Mayor Herm Martens says Robert has been a vital part of council, and is sorry to see him go.
