Manitoba Agriculture Minister Ralph Eichler is joining a delegation heading to Germany for the world's largest agritech trade show.

The European trade mission will be highlighted by participation in Agritechnica, the world's largest trade show of agricultural machinery and technology.

“Our government is proud to work proactively on fostering trade relationships and exploring opportunities to grow business between Manitoba and the European market,” said Eichler.  “Trade is vitally important to the economic success of our province and this is especially true for our agriculture industry, who have benefited greatly by participating in this internationally renowned agricultural trade show.”

Eichler will be joining a delegation of nearly 100 industry professionals from the province at Agritechnica including representation of 16 Manitoba-based companies.

After attending the trade show and meeting with industry and government officials while in Hannover, Germany, Eichler will be travelling to France to meet with trade representatives and to tour the operations of Roquette, the protein processing company which announced a record $400-million investment near Portage la Prairie.
