CN Rail is removing hopper cars from its network to put into short-term storage.

The rail company said there has been a decrease in demand for grains cars in western Canada, which is typical for this time of year.

Last week, CN met all its orders by delivering over 4,900 grain cars, compared to their almost 6,200 weekly average in April.

CN noted the company is getting ready to fulfill all their grain car orders this week.
