The merger between DuPont and Dow Chemical has received U.S. antitrust approval.

A court filing on Thursday states the approval is under the condition that the companies must sell certain crop protection products and other assets. These conditions are similar to what European regulators had requested back in March.

The proposed merger was announced in December of 2015 and was valued at US$130 billion.

Once the deal is complete, the companies have said they would split into three separate companies focusing on material sciences, specialty products, and seeds and agrochemicals.

The merger still needs approval from a handful of countries including Canada.
