It was another slow week in terms of harvest progress in Manitoba, due to the rain that fell in many regions.

Cereal Specialist Anne Kirk of Manitoba Agriculture says the cereal and canola harvest is mostly done, while soybeans still have a ways to go.

She says harvest for sunflowers and corn is right around the corner.

"For sunflowers, most fields have been desiccated, or have started to be desiccated, we're just waiting for those to dry down and same with the corn. There's been reports that the corn is at the mature stage, but it's just waiting for the corn to dry down enough to get going. Heard reports that should be started to be harvested this week weather dependent or next week."

Kirk notes winter wheat and fall rye are emerging with good establishment.

Fall fertilizer applications are just getting underway.
