Executive members with Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) recently met with Manitoba's agriculture minister and senior staff to discuss a variety of topics.

One of those topics was the ongoing Business Risk Management (BRM) program review.

KAP President Dan Mazier says they aren't totally satisfied with how the process has been going.

"We were hoping as an agriculture organization, to hopefully have a more, wholesome review. A full on, full scale review of what kind of farm are we supporting or protecting against other perils that aren't covered out there, especially against Mother Nature."

Other topics discussed at the meeting were the Sustainable Watersheds Act, KAP's role in the Environmental Farm Plan, as well as MASC production insurance for Manitoba fruit growers.
