The Manitoba Canola Growers Association (MCGA) has four positions up for election this year.

President Chuck Fossay is up for re-election, as is Director Curtis McRae. Ed Rempel and Brian Chorney will be retiring as they've reached their three-term limits.

Executive Director Delaney Ross Burtnack says joining the board has many benefits.

"It's a tremendous opportunity to really get some insight into the canola industry and have some influence as well," she explained. "The board is deeply involved in decisions that are ongoing to the sector, so its an opportunity for anyone who's interested in being involved in policy and some of the changes that are going on in the industry to have that first hand influence."

Nominations will be accepted starting October 13, 2017 and will close on October 31. Each position is for a four-year term.
