Manitoba Beef and Forage Initiatives (MBFI) near Brandon is looking for a General Manager to help lead the organization moving forward. The General Manager will work out of MBFI’s Brookdale farm site (north of Brandon) and be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to all the activities at all three of MBFI’s farm sites.

"We've got things up and going now with the infrastructure and the cattle, and our learning centre is 99 per cent complete. So now we're putting the rest of our staff into place. We do have three full-time staff currently, and we are looking for a General Manager to work at that facility to bring everything together," said MBFI President Ramona Blyth.

MBFI is a collaboration between Manitoba Agriculture, Manitoba Beef Producers, Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Manitoba Forage and Grassland Association.

The group is committed to advancing the long-term profitability and sustainability of producers, enhancing the profitability of beef and forage production by evaluating foundational research to the ranch level, transferring the knowledge gained to producers, cultivating partnerships between beef producers, governments, and private stakeholders interested in advancing the industry, and fostering the growth and understanding of sustainable beef production.
