Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers (MPSG) has released an early version of its Soybean Variety Guide.

"In this guide you can find information on the variety evaluations of Roundup-Ready soybeans as well as conventional soybeans and it's broken up by sections in which they were tested in the east and the west areas of Manitoba," said Production Specialist Cassandra Tkachuk.

She notes some of the information that is new to the guide this year includes the most prevalent races of phytophthora root rot in Manitoba and the corresponding resistance genes. There is also additional information on iron deficiency chlorosis.

The early version of the Soybean Variety Guide can be found on the Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers website.

The full guide, which includes pulse information, will be available in the 2018 Seed Manitoba Guide.
