Manitoba Agriculture is reporting a lot of seeding progress in the central region over the past week.

Seeding ranges from 30 to 60 per cent complete, while a few producers have even wrapped up seeding operations altogether.

In areas where field conditions allow, the majority of cereals are planted and the earliest seeded fields are starting to emerge.

There are some indications of lower than average cereal acres expected.

Canola acres range from 10 to 65 per cent seeded and a few flea beetles have been spotted but no feeding evidence has been spotted on volunteer canola.

Soybean acres range from 10 to 30 per cent complete.

It is estimated that 20 to 25% of seeding is completed across the province.
