The University of Manitoba's Faculty of Agriculture will celebrate its centennial this weekend.
Chairperson Cam Brown, a graduate from 1952, says nearly 600 former students have registered.
He adds it was a tough task contacting the literally thousands of graduates living around the world.
In B.C. there's about 300, 450 in Alberta, 250 in Saskatchewan, 5,600 in our province, 300 in Ontario, 40 in Quebec, and 30 in the Maritimes.
The staggering figure is the 1,000 grads living and working outside of Canada currently.
Brown says distance doesn't seem to be stopping grads from attending with people coming from Hong Kong, New York, and South Africa.
