Ten Thousand Villages is celebrating a milestone next Saturday.

Edna Ruth Byler started the organization 60 years ago.

140 stores through North America are filled with hand-made crafts from countries around the world.

The artisans find it difficult to sell their crafts in their own country so M.C.C. missionaries go out and buy the crafts which are then sold by Ten Thousand Villages through their network of stores.

The funds raised from the sale of those goods in North America goes back into the organization.
