Students attending classes through Pembina Valley Language Education for Adults have a new space to call their own.

Six classrooms and a child minding facility opened Monday in the shop portion of the former Courtesy Motors building in Winkler.

Program Coordinator Gail Reichert says the new facility allows them to bring together students who were taking classes at locations all over the city.

She notes extensive renovations took place, including the removal of the hoists and ramps, lowering of the ceiling, as well as the construction of walls and bathrooms.

Renovations began in mid July , and not everything is finished yet.

Reichert hopes the finishing touches will be completed within the next two weeks.

PVLEA received $200,000 from Manitoba Immigration for the project.
