There is another case of Botulism in Canada, but this time it involves carrot juice.

The juice is sold throughout Manitoba, and although juice contaminated with the toxin may not look or smell spoiled, Shelley Buchan of The Portage Regional Health Authority explains consumers should discard the juice in closed bottles anyway.

If you have consumed the juice there are symptoms to look out for:  nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, headache, double vision, dry throat, respiratory failure, and paralysis.

In severe cases of the illness, death is a possibility.

If you are experiencing symptoms it is important you seek medical attention immediately.
