A brand new audit into Disability Management may be used by the Central Regional Health Authority in the future.

Central RHA Chief Human Resources Officer Jim Hunter notes the audit is being considered.  He thinks the current program is working well, but if the RHA feels the audit would improve procedures, they will invite the it.

Hunter adds Disability Management includes reducing accidents in the workplace, while getting ill and injured employees back to work as soon as possible.  He stress the Central RHA encourages employees to come back to work at reduced levels and duties.  Hunter says the purpose of the audit is to look for areas of improvement to current disability management.

Parkland RHA recently took part in the process.
