Provencher Member of Parliament Vic Toews is no longer Justice Minister.

In a cabinet shuffle on Thursday, he was named President of the Treasury Board taking over from John Baird who moves to Environment.

The new Justice Minister is Robert Nicholson. Michael Zwaagstra is President of the Provencher Conservative Association.

He says it's a good move for Toews because Treasury Board is equally important to Justice in that it oversees expenditures and is a position of considerable influence.

Zwaagstra says the move is a recognition that Toews has accomplished a lot in the short period since the Conservatives were elected.
