RCMP has released additional details regarding a motorcycle collision west of Altona Friday night on Provincial Road 201.

The incident was reported at 9:15 p.m., which based on evidence at the scene, was driving at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and hit the ditch. The 23 year old driver from Reinland was taken to hospital for precautionary measures.

Further investigation determined the motorcycle was unregistered at the time of the collision.

According to RCMP, charges are now pending under the Highway Traffic Act.
