Hanging out with friends is usually what high school students do during the summer, but for two Winkler youth, they used the time to develop an informational pamphlet on H1N1 flu.

15 year old Kavi Abbu and his sister 17 year old Tharuna took on the project after their mother was diagnosed with a case of the virus.

It includes basic information about H1N1, and what you can do to limit your chances of contracting it.

Tharuna (tha-roo-nah) says they wanted to make sure everyone in the community could access information about the potential of a pandemic this fall, so they developed an English and Low German version of the resource.

The pamphlet will be provided to local church congregations.

It will also be available at the City office.

Access Credit Union sponsored the pamphlet's development.
