Cottonwood Community Drama is getting ready to host its annual production at Buhler Hall in Gretna, and this year it’s going to have us rolling in the aisles with laughter, because it’s a stage adaptation of “Get Smart”.

Mary Costen is directing the play taking the stage November 28th, 29th and 30th with nightly shows at 7:30pm. Meanwhile, Charles Klippenstein is once again taking on the role of technical director. The duo stopped by the studio earlier this week.

Performers from across the region are starring in Get Smart, including brothers Ken, Bruce and Scott Penner, as well as Lisa Klassen.

The Penner boys and Lisa stopped by to read a scene for us with Bruce as Mr. Big, the head of the evil KAOS, Ken as Chief and Scott as Maxwell Smart. Lissa Klassen is playing the role of Agent 99. Have a listen:

As you can tell, just like the TV program which aired in the 60s, this version of Get Smart is full of laughs.
