It's been a mixed bag this harvest season for Ken Hamm.

Along with his brother and dad, Hamm seeded 2,500 acres of wheat, corn, sunflowers, canola, and beans this spring.

Most of his land is along the escarpment northwest of Morden up to Miami.

He notes dry conditions this summer are quite noticeable in some of his fields with yields highly variable.

Some of his spring wheat has come off at just 30 bushels per acre while other fields have ranged up to 60.

Hamm has combined a few fields of canola as well, and says yields so far have been not bad.
