The opening of Emerado Centennial School in Winkler has provided some extra space for Garden Valley School Division.

Yet despite the new school many students are still in portable classrooms.


Education Minister Peter Bjornson was in for the grand opening of the new school.

 

He says they are aware of the situation and are working with the division to help alleviate the problem.

 

Bjornson adds it was great to come out and see the enthusiasm and excitement of the students and teachers.


Students started classes in the $9.3 million dollar facility in September.
