A campaign to equip the Altona Memorial Health Centre with a portable ultrasound machine continues to see community support. 

Another donation has come in for the effort, this time from the staff at West Park Motors.

The group presented $5,000 cheque to local health officials this week.In a submitted statement, representatives with the Altona-based car dealership said the company believes in giving back to the communities it serves and the team is pleased to be able to support area health care in this manner. 

"We feel that the ultrasound machine will provide a huge benefit to the residents of Altona and surrounding areas. And a big THANKS to the team at the Altona Clinic / Altona Memorial Health Centre for taking care of our medical needs," added the statement.

According to the information provided, the new tech is expected to arrive at the local hospital in  about a month or two.
