Wednesday morning emergency crews, including Winkler Fire Department and Winkler Police Service, responded to a collision at the junction of highway 32 and 14.

According to Winkler Police Chief Ryan Hunt, officers responded to the collision just before 10 a.m.

A southbound pickup and an eastbound pickup collided at the intersection. Both vehicles were inoperable and towed from the scene.

The driver of one of the vehicles was transported in stable condition to the Boundary Trails Health Centre.

The incident is still under investigation, and it's currently unclear which vehicle proceeded through a red light. Police are speaking to witnesses as part of that process.
