People in a section of the R.M. of Stanley are being urged to use boiled water or bottled water for the next few days after a Boil Water Advisory was issued for the area Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Municipality, emergency maintenance of the water system forced the advisory. 

The impacted area is along the Winkler-Morden corridor east of Boundary Trails Hospital and Dickens Road.

The Municipality added, the advisory remain in effect until the water supplied by this system no longer presents a risk to public health. It will be rescinded once water quality standards are able to be maintained. Samples will be sent to the lab and results are expected to be in by Friday, May 24th.

Starting May 21, 2024, at 1:30 pm and until further notice, citizens should use boiled water or bottled water for:

· Drinking and making ice

· Preparing beverages, including infant formula

· Preparing food

· Brushing Teeth
