Through its annual Hockey Champions Charity Golf Tournament held earlier this Summer, the Falk-Fehr Foundation is investing $65,000 back into three community organizations.

The fundraising event took place at Winkler Centennial Golf Club June 4th.

$30,000 is going to the Habitat for Humanity – Winkler/Morden chapter, $30,000 to the Winkler Family Resource Centre and $5,000 going to the Winkler Day Care Centre in a matched donation to complete its backyard bike path project.

“We are once again beyond humbled by the support from our Winkler community this year,” said Justin Falk of the Falk Fehr Foundation in a release issued to PembinaValleyOnline. “A big thank you to all the volunteers, the sponsors, supporters, participants, friends, family and everyone who had hand in making this fundraiser a tremendous success. We are so fortunate for the unbelievable generosity within the Winkler community, and continue to be amazed by the support."

The Falk-Fehr Fund is held by the Winkler Community Foundation.

“A big thank you also goes out to our strong partnership with the Winkler Community Foundation,” noted Eric Fehr of the Falk Fehr Foundation. “Without Myra and the team, none of this would be possible. It has been a pleasure to work with the folks from Habitat for Humanity – Winkler/Morden, the people from the Winkler Family Resource Centre as well as the Winkler Day Care Centre. We know these funds are in good hands at those wonderful organizations.”
