Manitoba Conservastion is preparing for the worst.

Cory Mischuk a natural resource officer says the fire danger level right now in Sandilands is high.

In response to the extremely dry conditions, some fire crews have been moved from Northern areas of the province and are on alert.

Regular crews are on standby in Hadashville, Marchand and Piney.

They even have a helicopter in Marchand doing regular patrols looking for smoke.

Open fires are prohibited and fireworks are not permitted during this hazardous time.
