Morris Mayor Scott Crick joined CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Host Chris Sumner Wednesday morning for another conversation, in studio, for In the Mayor's Chair.
This weekend's Red River Valley Foodbank food drive was one of the items the Mayor wanted to remind his community about.
"If you haven't received a bag at your door already, certainly you can call the foodbank and request this, but on Saturday, September 16th from 9am to noon, the Red River Valley Foodbank is doing their annual drive," Crick shared. "By all means, if they're items you can donate to the foodbank, I'm sure they will be appreciated. Fill your bags, leave them on your steps, and I know there will be volunteers coming around to pick them up."
Those volunteers will be members of the Morris Fire Department and Morris Cadets.
The Mayor also chatted about Sun Valley Co-op's upcoming Fuel Good Day September 19th, with proceeds (5 cents per litre) from the gasbar in Morris supporting Red River Valley Parent and Child Centre.
The conversation wrapped up with Crick reflecting on the upcoming provincial election. Have a listen, below.
