Former City of Winkler Mayor Martin Harder joined the morning show to talk about the book launch of his autobiography, A Scrappy Little Nobody. Scheduled for Thursday, April 25th at the Meridian Exhibition Center at 7:30 PM.

Harder's autobiography is a candid exploration of his life, from humble beginnings to political prominence. Harder revealed that the title was suggested by his niece during the difficult process of finding the perfect encapsulation of his life's story. Reflecting on the significance of the title, Harder remarked, “When I suggested that name to Friesen Press, who was the publisher, they said yes, that's the one. Everybody just felt good and it gave it a little bit of pizzazz and it kind of reflected, I think, for them what they got out of the book and what my character was like.”

Open to the public, the launch event invites attendees to meet the author and purchase a copy of the book for themselves. Harder will also be reading from the book at the event.

The book promises readers a journey through the highs and lows of Harder's life. It's not just a highlight reel of achievements but an exploration of mistakes and life lessons learned along the way, with themes spanning faith, business, politics, and even a hint of romantic intrigue.

Harder explained, "To me, it spells out my journey. It is not something that I've achieved or that I'm particularly highlighting the achievements I have. There's lots of mistakes that I've written about in there and for people to understand what normal life is about. In reality, I opened myself up pretty well in this book."
