Winkler police have charged four people following a meth trafficking investigation.
Last week Monday, police executed a search warrant at a home on Royal Crescent where they seized a small amount of meth and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 52-year-old man, and three women aged 51, 39 and 28 were all charged and released with future court dates.
Around 4 a.m. the following Thursday, police were back on Royal Crescent, responding to a man causing a disturbance at a home.
Police say, when officers arrived, a man came out of the home with a knife held in front of him and proceeded to move towards them. The situation was safely diffused with no injuries, noted police.
A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
