The Miami Railway Station Museum has received a grant of $9,000 from the federal government through Parks Canada.

Co-Chair Gordon Docking says the money will be used to complete the third phase of their safety renovations.

He explains the $9,000 from the government and the $9,000 they will put in will pay for new windows at the Museum.

Docking says they are very pleased with the announcement that came the same day as their grand re-opening last Sunday.

He adds they've had tremendous support from all levels of government and private foundations to keep the building and museum going.
