The Winnipeg Goldeyes scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and downed the Joliet JackHammers 8-4. Dee Brown stroked a two-run double, Vince Harrison followed with his first home run of the season and Josh Asanovich added a two-run single. Matt Kniginyzky got his first win of the season. He pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits, while striking out six JackHammers. The two teams will play the third of their four-game series tonight (1570 CKMW 7 p.m.) at Canwest Park.
