The Winnipeg Goldeyes sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning and scored seven times enroute to a 15-2 victory over the Rockford RiverHawks. Juan Diaz, Luis Alen and Brett Wallace all hit home runs for Winnipeg.  Diaz was four-for-four, scoring three runs and adding three RBI. Goldeyes starter Chris Salamida pitched a complete game for his 10th win of the season. He struck out seven and did not allow a walk. The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to rain. Because the Goldeyes and RiverHawks are out of playoff contention, the game will not be made up. Winnipeg will finish the 2010 Northern Baseball League season with a three-game weekend series which begins tonight (1570 CKMW 6:45 p.m.) in Schaumburg.
