It's almost harvest time for farmers in Southern Manitoba.

Dennis Peters farms about 500 acres of oats, barley, and edible beans near Morden.

He says so far, things are looking pretty good, but a little rain would be perfect.

Peters says he lost a lot of crops last summer due to excessive rain.

He says it's amazing to see the difference between two summers.

Peters says they also have cattle on their land.

He says although the current conditions aren't too bad for the crops, running out of water is always a scary thing for the animals.
