Rain is not what organizers of the World Record Harvest for Kids were wanting.

It's supposed to happen tomorrow near Winkler.

Organizer Ray Wieler says about 10mm or 1/2 inch of rain fell on the field this morning.

But he says as long as the combines are able to get on the field and get the grain through they'll go ahead even if the grain is wet.

Wieler says they will finalize that decision this afternoon around 5pm.

He adds if it rains overnight that decision may need to be re-evaluated again.

For updates on the World Record Harvest for kids we will pass the info on to you as soon as we get it.
