The Youth Job Centre in Altona wrapped up another successful Hire-A-Student week with a Donut-Drive on Friday.

Manager Jeremy Siemens says the campaign also included a barbecue and a labour raffle.

He explains the goal of the week is to find work for the 12 to 16 year old youth Job Squad students.

Otherwise, he says activity at the centre has been on par compared to other summers.

He adds they are currently short on employers, with a number of students still looking for summer jobs.
