You have an opportunity to help out the Winkler Flyers Junior A Hockey Club by opening up your home as a billet. General Manager Henry Siemens has begun the search for good homes for the players to stay in this season. He says for many of these players this is the first time these kids have been away from home, and having a good home to spend their winters in can go a long way.

"This is one of our most important volunteer positions, our players in order to perform on the ice need good homes to come home to. We always have an opportunity for some new billets. Whenever we have a graduating class of players we always graduate some of our billets. This year we did have quite a few players who were 20 years old and are moving on, and some of our billet families that have done this for a number of years may decide they would like a bit of a break. So we are definitely looking for some billet homes now," says Siemens.

"The success of our hockey club depends to a large degree on off ice for the players as well. We are looking for some good billet homes now and we hope that there are some people out there that don't understand the program and would like more information that could contact us, or that may know someone that would be interested that could pass along the information to them."
