The Morden Police Service hopes a past trend continues this weekend.
Chief Brad Neduzak says Canada Day has usually been fairly quiet for them.
He says they will have a few extra officers on staff and will be conducting traffic checks with the increase in activity.
Neduzak says if you happen to attend Beach Blast at Lake Minnewasta, have some patience when leaving at the end of the event.
He says the traffic will be heavy and slow but driving with caution will reduce the chance of accidents occurring.
