Meanwhile, CMOS Accredited Weathercaster Chris Sumner says a dramatic shift in the weather pattern will start Sunday, and continue through much of the week, as a much warmer airmass from the south arrives in Southern Manitoba.

"We were below average for much of October, and as the calendar flips to November, we will also see a flip to well above average temperatures for this time of year," explains Sumner. "Daytime highs Monday through Thursday are looking like they will be in the 13 to 17 range, which far surpasses the normals for right now which are 4 or so."

Sumner says the long range models are showing a return to seasonal weather for the first weekend in November, with temperatures sliding back to the 0 to +2 range.
