Icy road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor in a head-on collision Monday morning on Highway 32 in the RM of Stanley.

Pembina Valley RCMP responded to the two-vehicle accident in the RM of Stanley at 10:05 AM.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP says there was an infant passenger in one of the vehicles, and the last update RCMP received is that she did not suffer any injuries.

Alcohol is not a factor in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

This collision happened shortly after emergency crews and RCMP responded to a fatal collision on Highway 3 between the Boundary Trails Health Centre intersection and the junction of Highway 23. A 47-year-old man from Winnipeg died in that incident.
