The Quality Scoop Program aids in addressing the trend.

More and more, the Canadian Wheat Board is having to show customers the quality of our grain as opposed to just telling them about it.

Gord Kurbis is manager of quality control at the board.

He notes the Quality Scoop Program, which encompasses sampling on farm, at the primary elevator, and terminal, aids in addressing the trend.

In the last 2 years, 2000 to 3000 kilograms of new crop sample material has been sent to potential customers around the globe.

Kurbis adds the information gathered by the quality scoop program allows buyers to make a more informed decision, and in turn gives the board a better chance at making the sale.
