A majority of the Pools in both crop years increased.

The Canadian Wheat Board has released the July Pool Return outlook for the 2006-07 crop year.

Wheat pros are $6 to $9 per tonne higher versus the June pro, while the durum pros are up $8 per tonne with the exception of no. 5 CWAD which is up $6 per tonne.

The pool 'A' feed barley pro is up $11 per tonne versus the June pro, while the designated barley pros are up $13 per tonne for two-row and $12 per tonne for six-row, respectively.

The Board also released the July Pool Return Outlook for the 2005-06 crop year.

Wheat is unchanged to $3 per tonne lower versus the May pro, while durum is unchanged to $2 per tonne higher.

Compared to June, the pool 'B' feed barley pros are $5 per tonne higher, while the designated barley pro is up $1 per tonne compared to May.

Wheat prices have strengthened as a result of production problems in a number of exporting countries.

This late in the crop year, the old pool is close to being fully sold, and the impact on the pool return of higher prices achieved on the remaining unsold volume will be limited.
