Emergency crews responded to yet another collision on our local highways.
    
RCMP and members of the Plum Coulee fire department were called to a two-vehicle crash shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of highways 306 and 201 west of Altona.
    
According to RCMP, it appears and eastbound vehicle on Highway 201 entered the intersection when it was unsafe to do so and was struck by a southbound vehicle travelling on Highway 306. Both drivers suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.
    
The 43-year-old female driver of the eastbound vehicle, from Winkler, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for proceeding before safe to do so.
    
The 69-year-old female driver of the southbound vehicle is from Gretna.
