The Town of Morden will now be able to look at their project list a little differently.

They have officially become a member of the Pembina Valley Conservation District.

Councillor Maurice Butler says the one project they will focus on is the Dead Horse Creek.

He says as the creek runs through town, they have a number of issues and concerns with it.

Butler says with the financial partnership with the P.V.C.D., they feel they will be able to tackle this project properly.

However, he says being a member comes with more than just financial benefits.

Butler says partnering with other communities to educate and train and work together on a variety of initiatives is key.
