Morden Police have made multiple arrests after a lengthy investigation to numerous break and enters.

Two adults and one youth were arrested in connection to a theft of a pair of kayaks from a property on Fairway Dr. in Morden on June 26. All three were charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Trespass at night, and were released on police conditions, including curfews, and will be appearing in Morden Provincial Court in September.

It was later discovered one of the adult males was also involved in a second theft the same night of June 26 after a victim reported that his apartment block was broken into and numerous tools and supplies were stolen. Four different victims were identified as having their property stolen. While investigating the theft of the Kayaks, police identified that one of the same adult males had entered the victim’s property, stolen the tools and sold them at a later date. As a result, one of the adult males was also charged with Break, Enter and commit Theft.

The following month, on July 18, a homeowner reported someone had gone through one of their vehicles and located a key to enter their garage. While the suspect did not take any items, they could be seen prowling around the residence. The homeowner was able to provide video footage of the suspect from their video surveillance system and as a result, the same 14-year-old male youth involved in the kayak theft was arrested and charged with Break, Enter and Theft, Trespass at night, and one count of breach of undertaking. The youth was released on another set of conditions and will appear in court in September.
