Morden Police Service dealt with a handful of alcohol-related incidents over the holidays.

On December 26, at approximately 1:00 a.m, police received a call in regards to a male and female that were fighting on the corner of Alvey and Mountain Street. Police attended and spoke with both individuals who were both highly intoxicated. The 29-year-old male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released the next morning without charges. The 29-year-old female was also arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells. She was released later without charges.

The same day, police received a complaint about a vehicle that was being driven erratically on 9th Street South. Police patrolled the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Then during the early morning hours of December 28, Morden Police were dispatched to a residence on Willcocks Road in regards to a suspicious vehicle in the caller’s driveway. Police arrived on scene and located an intoxicated male sitting in a white pickup truck. A 44 year old male from Manitou was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells and released later that morning without charges.
