140 golfers took to the links at Morden's Minnewasta Golf and Country Club Thursday for the 19th annual Decor Cabinets Charity Classic.

Over $100,000 was raised for the charities Decor supports; Youth for Christ, Pembina Valley Pregnancy Care Centre, Pembina Valley Counselling Centre, and the Mully Children's Family Orphanage in Africa.

Dave Schellenberg is C.F.O. of Decor and Chairman of the Charity Classic.

Schellenberg said an event like the Charity Classic could not come together without a lot of help from a lot of people. He said they're very grateful to everyone that made the tournament so successful.

"A big reason why Decor exists is to give back to the community, that's really why we do what we do," said Schellenberg. "This is just one of the ways we can do that amongst many that we operate, but this one, I think, is pretty special to us. It's one way, I think, we can show our heart, and why we're in business. And it shows the kind of organizations that we love to support as well. I think of the charities that we do support, they support people in every aspect of life, whatever they are going through, every aspect of life, whatever they are going through, these charities kind of hit anybody in society, so we're really proud to help them out."
