The Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition, which takes place every July in Morris, won the 2023 Event of the Year at Manitoba Country Music Awards which were handed out November 4th in Winnipeg. Valley Ag Society Rodeo Director, Tim Lewis, and his son Owen, represented the Stampede at the ceremony. The other nominees in the category included: the Hanover Ag Fair, Morden Corn and Apple Festival, Niverville Fair, Steinbach Summer in the City and Summer Winds Festival.

"I think that a lot of people were surprised, not just at the nomination, but also the win," shared Morris Mayor Scott Crick. "Congratulations to Valley Ag and the Manitoba Stampede board for winning the 2023 event of the year for country music in Manitoba. Just another testament and recognition of the hard work and the many hours that go into making it an absolutely fantastic event every year."

The 2024 Manitoba Stampede takes place July 19th through 21st.
