Portage-Lisgar MP Brian Pallister is finishing up the sixth Annual 50 Town Tally Tour this week.

The tour was made to build a connection between rural communities in Manitoba and Ottawa.

Pallister believes hearing about issues like agriculture straight from those who deal with it on their day to day life, gives him a better idea of what he needs to do while in Ottawa.

He notes it empowers him when he goes to Ottawa because if he knows where his constituents stand, then he will have enough strength in his argument to increase results.

Pallister deliberately scheduled the municipal portion of the tour after the local elections.

He notes issues like agriculture, infrastructure as well as health care are the common top issues he says many bring up following elections.
